FoundersChecker ("we", "us", or "our") operates founderschecker.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

We collect information in the following ways:
Idea submissions (all tiers): When you submit a business idea for analysis, your idea text is sent to our AI analysis provider to generate the report. We do not store, log, or retain the content of your idea on our own servers. Our AI provider processes the submission under their own data policy and does not use API inputs for model training by default.
Payment information: When you purchase a full report, your payment is processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
Usage data: We collect standard web analytics data including pages visited, time on site, and general location (country level). We do not use invasive tracking.

3. Idea Submissions
We do not store the ideas you submit on our servers. Your idea is sent to our AI analysis provider to generate the report and is not retained by us. Our AI provider does not use API inputs for model training by default.
4. Data Sharing
We share data with the following third parties only as necessary to operate the service:
Anthropic: Your idea text is sent to Anthropic's API to generate the analysis. Anthropic's own privacy policy governs their handling of this data. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models by default.
Stripe: Payment processing. We never store your card details.
Vercel: Hosting and infrastructure.
Supabase: Database and authentication.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies only. These handle authentication sessions and basic site functionality. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights:
The right to access the personal data we hold about you
The right to correct inaccurate data
The right to request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
The right to export your data in a portable format
Idea submissions: not stored by us. Sent to our AI provider for analysis and not retained on our servers.

8. Data Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure database storage, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
FoundersChecker is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify Pro subscribers by email of any material changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
